Business Industry-Academics Research Office
College of Management, National University of Tainan

Due to the independent operation and small scale of industry-academics cooperation by the domestic universities and less participation of business school in the cooperation activities, College of Management, National University of Tainan plans to establish Business Industry-Academics Research Office to promote the involvement of faculty in the industry-academics cooperation projects. Through the industry-academics cooperation, the research capacity and outcomes of College of Management, National University of Tainan can be utilized as the engine of industrial innovations. In addition, faculty can collect the related data as the basis of academic research and teaching through participating the business practices in order to create three wins situations among society, industry, and academics.

 

 

 

 

The missions of Business Industry-Academics Research Office are to enhance the industrial innovation and added value and to upgrade the academic research and teaching. Based on the missions, five work tasks are proposed including industry case study, human resource development and team selection, management practices and consulting, business model development, and knowledge platform establishment. The execution and integration of these five work tasks will increase the interactions between industries and academics; leverage the research capacities of academics to provide solutions to practical problems; in turn, strengthen the competitiveness of the industries to reach the goal of enhancing the industrial innovation and added value. Besides, the practical problems happened in the industries can feedback to management academics and become the enabler of the management research and teaching; thus help reach the goal of upgrading the academic research and teaching in College of Management, National University of Tainan.
